Morgon Anthony Thevenet – Beaujolais

Young winemaker Anthony Thevenet learnt from the greats of Beaujolais and now dedicates his life to his land and his animals. All his wines are organic, with very little interference even in the soil – he and his father hand weed between the vines to carefully ensure no microbes and insects are disturbed in the top soil. They pick all the Gamay grapes by hand and sorting is done in the vineyard. The wines ferment in ancient wood barrels and – according to the vintage – the fruit goes through 10 to 25 days carbonic maceration.
The wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Morgon pairs beautifully with brie like Baron Bigod .
