Delivery days and times

Please note that deliveries can only be made on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 9.00am and 5.00pm. This means we only ship cheese on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. If you require a Saturday delivery, please get in touch for costings.

Since many of our goods are perishable, you must ensure that somebody will be at the delivery address to accept the order and refriderate it right away, or that there is somewhere cool and safe for the order to be left.

We do not accept any liability for any order of perishable goods that is not refrigerated immediately upon delivery.

We are happy to deliver to a place of work if that is more convenient.



We only send cheeses that meet our exacting standards. If a cheese you have ordered is either not in stock, or has not reached it's peak of maturity we will find a suitable substitute that will compliment the rest of your order.


Cutting and Weights
There is an art to cutting cheeses accurately by hand, and as such there will at times be a small margin for error. If one of the cheeses we cut is underweight we will make up for this by cutting another cheese a bit larger.

If you not satisfied with any aspect of your order, please contact us within 24 hours. Please note, in order for us to inspect the goods they will need to be returned to us.




Standard courier delivery to UK mainland

Our standard delivery service is to the UK mainland only. All our cheese is delivered to the UK mainland using an overnight courier service.

If you would like delivery to another location, please email or telephone the shop to discuss. At present, we only deliver within the EU.

Our courier works very hard to ensure all of our parcel are delivered in a timely fashion. Unfortunately, occasionally this does not happen, and parcels are delayed.

If you have placed an order and have any queries regarding the delivery time please ring our courier, TNT, on 0800 100 600. 


Cost of delivery

Your cheese is shipped in bespoke temperature-controlled packaging which we have tested to ensure you receive it in optimum condition. For orders weighing 3kg or less, the standard delivery charge for most postcodes within the UK mainland is £7.50. If you live outside a major metropolitan area, or if the courier determines your postcode is off of the main route, there may be a surcharge.

If your order exceeds 3kg then there may be an additional delivery charge. If this is the case, we will contact you by email or telephone before dispatching your order.

If you would like your order to be delivered outside the mainland UK then there will be an additional delivery charge. Please call or email the shop to discuss.


Dispatch within two working days

We attempt to dispatch every order within two working days from when the order is placed. We will contact you by email or telephone if we cannot meet this timeframe.

If you need your order for a particular date then please email or telephone the shop or include details in the ‘Special Instructions’ for your order.


Address and special instructions

Please provide us with your full postcode and a house number, not just a house name.

If your house does not have a number or it is difficult to find then please give some additional information to help the courier identify the property. For example: ‘The first cottage on the left after the petrol station.’

Please also provide alternative delivery instructions in the event that you are out. For example: ‘Leave with neighbour or put in garage.’

Additional information can be added in the ‘Special Instructions’ box at checkout.

We offer free local delivery within the adjoining postcodes to our shop in Greenwich, London:

SE3, SE7, SE8, SE10 and SE13

Place your order on our online shop and select the free ‘Next Day shipping to United Kingdom’ option. Please state a convenient date and time for delivery in the ‘Special Instructions’ box at checkout.

Free local delivery is only available on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday morning and Friday. The minimum order for free local delivery is £35.00.



Order online but collect from our shop! Just select the ‘Store Collection’ option at checkout and proceed to payment.

Please specify when you will collect the order, so it is ready for you.


All rights of ownership and to possession of the goods supplied shall remain in and belong to The Cheeseboard until full payment has been received for the goods. In the event of non-payment The Cheeseboard has the right, without notice, to enter any premises owned or occupied by the buyer in order to recover all or any of the goods. Repossession of the goods by The Cheeseboard shall be without prejudice to any other remedy of The Cheeseboard The buyer agrees to keep the goods identifiably the property of The Cheeseboard and to keep them stored in merchandisable condition. The goods will be held by the buyer as bailee and agent for The Cheeseboard until payment in full has been made. In the event of sale of the goods prior to payment of the price in full, the buyer shall hold the proceeds of the sale as an agent of The Cheeseboard until payment in full has been made.


Risk of damage or deterioration to the goods supplied passes to the buyer on delivery. No claim for damage or deterioration after delivery can be accepted.
Pilferage and Damage
We can only accept claims for pilferage or damage if written notification is given to both the carriers and ourselves within three days of receipt of goods. If delivery is made by carriers please always sign for the goods “unexamined” and retain the outer wrappings for examination by the carrier. If delivery is made on our own transport, the consignment should be checked and signed for accordingly.
Contract Terms
We shall supply goods only on the condition that these terms and conditions represent the entire agreement between ourselves and our customers and these conditions superseded any prior agreement or arrangement.


If you are not happy with any of your goods, supplied by Cheeses, you must inform us within 24 hours after delivery. All products must be returned to us or made available for inspection.
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
