Whether you’re catering for 50 or 250 guests, we can create a one-off beautiful tiered ‘cheese cake’ for your big day.

Most customers want something totally unique and bespoke so we would encorage all our couples to book a private tasting session at the shop, where you can sample our beautiful artisan cheeses and find the perfect combination for your cake.

For couples unable to visit the shop, here are a few sample cheese cakes – tried, tested and loved by other customers. These are just suggestions and we are happy to make changes. Click on each cake for more details.

the gloucester

This cake serves 80-110 people
Base tier: 25cm diameter

Fifth tier: Cornish Yarg 
A fresh and easy-going cheese with a springy texture. Wrapped in nettle leaves for a beautiful effect.
Cow, pasteurised, vegetarian.

Fourth tier: Perl Las
An organic blue cheese that is unlike any other blue. It’s intense yet also delicate and creamy.
Cow, pasteurised, vegetarian.

Third tier: Keen’s Cheddar
A traditional farmhouse Cheddar, with a sharp flavour and creamy, crumbly texture.
Cow, unpasteurised.

Second tier: Tunworth (two)
Similar to Camembert, with a fudgy centre and melting edges.
Cow, pasteurised.

Top tier: Dorstone
A stunning little goat’s cheese with citrus flavour and dense, creamy texture. Covered in ash, with a mottled white mould.
Goat, unpasteurised.

Sixth tier: Gorwydd Caerphilly
A traditional Welsh Caerphilly with a fresh, lemony tangy flavour, moist texture and an earthy rind.
Cow, unpasteurised.

This cake serves 120-150 people

Base tier: 20cm width

Fifth tier: Taleggio
Pungent washed rind cheese with flavours of nuts and dried fruit.  The texture is smooth and gooey.
Cow, unpasteurised.

Fourth tier: Lord of the Hundreds
A hard but moist cheese with a gentle, milky flavour, distinct fresh-grass notes and nutty undertones.
Ewe, unpasteurised, vegetarian.

Third tier: Mahon
Rubbed in olive oil and paprika to create a rich orange rind, this cheese has beefy, almost smoky, flavours and a springy, buttery texture. 
Cow, unpasteurised.

Second tier: Pont l’Eveque
A feisty, washed rind cheese with gooey texture and rich, floral flavour.
Cow, unpasteurised.

Top tier: Flower Marie
Gentle flavours but rich, creamy texture and a bouncy rind.

A springy texture and gentle flavour with nutty notes and a characteristic layer of edible ash running through the centre of the cheese.

Fourth tier: Saint Nectaire
Made from the rich milk of the Salers cows. It has a silky texture and deep spicy, walnut flavours.

Third tier: Fougerus
A Brie-like cheese with earthy characteristics, a buttery mouthfeel and rich, mushroomy flavours.
Cow, unpasteurised.

Second tier: Reblochon
A relatively gentle washed rind cheese with a smooth texture and delicate flavour.

Top tier: Chaource
